We offer yoga teacher training in the spirit of humility and exploration. Join us to deepen your understanding & practice of yoga in a non-intimidating, playful environment. Focus on your own health and wellness and find what your body and mind need to feel balanced. Find your voice as a teacher, or fine tune it, or simply enjoy the opportunity to practice more and learn more about the powerful practice of yoga. This training is designed for you to connect with your true self and to be comfortable with what you find.
This training program has been created by Brown Dog Chief of Inspiration (Owner / Director) Katrina Mailloux, E-RYT-500 and will be led by Katrina & Senior Brown Dog Teachers. All of our teachers have combined teaching experience of over 30 years and are excited to share and explore the practice together. We’ve spent lots of time researching curriculum and teachings that connect with us most and hope that you’ll join us for this incredible journey.
We’ve split this training into 8 separate weekends which will take place one weekend per month for 8 months. The meeting times will be Friday evenings 5:30-9 p.m., and Saturday & Sunday from 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. There will be about 4-8 hours of homework and self-study per month. Ideal candidates for the training will have been practicing yoga for at least one year, are open to exploration, have a playful attitude towards their practice, and are interested in learning more about yoga. The asana / physical part of practice will be about 3-4 hours per daily session. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO WANT TO TEACH TO PARTICIPATE!
Training dates are provided in advance so you can make arrangements. You will be responsible for making up time missed and any extra fees required for make up time.

The 300 Hour Advanced Teacher Training Program is designed to build upon and deepen the trainee’s understanding of the fundamental concepts of the practice and teaching of yoga that are generally taught at the 200-hour level. The BDY 300-hour program prepares trainees to teach principles and techniques of yoga that are more advanced, more detailed, and/or subtler, and the training enables them to teach with greater skill than could reasonably be expected of a RYT 200. The program is taught over a 15-month period by certified teachers in various disciplines including, but not limited to, advanced asana, yoga for special populations, meditation, pranayama and yoga philosophy.
